Community Guidelines

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Proxoso works because students and brands show up with integrity. These guidelines protect that. Violations may result in warnings, opportunity cancellation, account suspension, or permanent bans — depending on severity.

For Everyone

🤝

Communicate honestly

✓ Do

  • Be upfront about your capabilities, timeline, and expectations
  • Respond to messages within a reasonable time (48 hours is a good baseline)
  • If something comes up, let the other party know early

✗ Don't

  • Ghost the other party once an opportunity is active
  • Make promises you can't keep
  • Use the message thread to harass or pressure
📋

Honor your agreements

✓ Do

  • Deliver what was agreed — no more, no less
  • Flag questions about scope before accepting, not after
  • Use the revision process in good faith

✗ Don't

  • Request major changes to deliverables after an opportunity is funded
  • Withhold approval for reasons unrelated to deliverable quality
  • Submit work that clearly doesn't meet the agreed brief
🔒

Keep transactions on platform

✓ Do

  • Complete all payments through Proxoso
  • Agree to new opportunities through the platform even if you've worked together before

✗ Don't

  • Arrange side payments to avoid platform fees
  • Move to external payment methods mid-opportunity
  • Solicit or accept off-platform arrangements
🚫

No harmful content

✓ Do

  • Promote products and services that are legal and appropriate for a college audience
  • Follow FTC disclosure requirements on all sponsored content

✗ Don't

  • Promote tobacco, vaping, alcohol (to anyone under 21), firearms, drugs, gambling, or adult content
  • Create content that discriminates, harasses, or targets individuals
  • Misrepresent a product's qualities, ingredients, or safety

For Brands

💼

Be a good partner

✓ Do

  • Provide clear briefs, content guidelines, and deliverable expectations upfront
  • Review submissions promptly and give constructive, specific feedback
  • Fund opportunities in good faith

✗ Don't

  • Post opportunities with no intention of following through
  • Use the revision process as a way to delay or avoid paying
  • Request deliverables outside the agreed opportunity scope

Represent your brand accurately

✓ Do

  • Use real brand photos, logos, and descriptions
  • List your actual products and target audience
  • Be transparent about what students are agreeing to

✗ Don't

  • Impersonate another brand or company
  • Post opportunities for products you don't control or represent
  • Inflate your brand's reach, legitimacy, or scale
🎓

Respect student data

✓ Do

  • Use student profile data only to evaluate fit for your opportunity
  • Keep student information confidential

✗ Don't

  • Export or use student data outside of Proxoso for external outreach
  • Contact students directly outside the Platform
  • Build audience lists from Proxoso student data

For Students

📣

Be honest about your profile

✓ Do

  • Report real follower counts, engagement rates, and social handles
  • Update your profile when your stats change significantly
  • Accurately represent your school and Greek affiliation (if applicable)

✗ Don't

  • Inflate follower counts or engagement rates
  • Purchase fake followers or engagement
  • Misrepresent your school, affiliation, or identity
📸

Deliver real work

✓ Do

  • Post content on your actual accounts as agreed
  • Submit real links, screenshots, or files as proof of completion
  • Complete deliverables within the agreed timeline

✗ Don't

  • Submit deliverables you haven't actually completed or posted
  • Delete sponsored content immediately after submission
  • Use fake accounts or bots to inflate post metrics
⚖️

Accept only what you can deliver

✓ Do

  • Only accept opportunities you have the time and capability to complete
  • Read the full brief before accepting
  • Reach out early if you encounter a problem completing your deliverable

✗ Don't

  • Accept opportunities speculatively with no plan to complete them
  • Let deadlines pass without communicating
  • Accept multiple opportunities you can't realistically fulfill simultaneously
📋

Surveys — complete them honestly

✓ Do

  • Answer all survey questions honestly and completely
  • Complete the survey yourself — no sharing links or having others complete it for you
  • Enter the completion code only after genuinely finishing the survey

✗ Don't

  • Rush through or submit random answers to collect payment
  • Share the survey link with others so they complete it on your behalf
  • Enter a completion code without actually completing the survey
🎟️

Experiences — show up

✓ Do

  • Attend the experience you accepted — your slot prevents another student from going
  • Notify the brand in advance if you can no longer attend
  • Engage genuinely with the brand's event or activation

✗ Don't

  • Accept an experience with no intention of attending
  • No-show without any notice
  • Attend but leave immediately after checking in to confirm attendance
🎁

Offers — redeem in good faith

✓ Do

  • Redeem the offer for your own personal use as intended
  • Follow any redemption instructions provided by the brand

✗ Don't

  • Resell or redistribute products or discounts received through Proxoso
  • Attempt to redeem the same offer multiple times
  • Claim offers with no genuine interest in the product or brand

Reporting a Violation

If you believe another user is violating these guidelines, you can file a dispute from within any active opportunity, or contact us directly at support@proxoso.com. Include as much detail as possible — screenshots and opportunity IDs help us act quickly.

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will not tolerate retaliation against users who report violations in good faith.
